- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup diced pineapple
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 2 tbsp teriyaki sauce
- 4 whole grain buns
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 4 lettuce leaves
- For the Grilled Pineapple:
- 1 ripe pineapple, sliced
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- Salt to taste

Instructions:
- Prepare the grilled pineapple by heating the coconut oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the sliced pineapple to the pan and sprinkle with salt.
- Cook the pineapple until golden brown, flipping once, about 4 minutes per side.
- Remove the pineapple from the heat and set aside.
- For the Hawaiian Burgers:
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, diced pineapple, red onion, and teriyaki sauce.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form each portion into a patty.
- Preheat your grill to high heat.
- Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 5 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty to melt.
- Toast the buns on the grill.
- To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on the bottom of each bun, followed by a cooked patty and a few slices of grilled pineapple.
- Serve the Hawaiian burgers hot off the grill with your favorite sides.
