- 1/2 onion, chopped

- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar

- Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (180Β°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, milk, onion, garlic, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, mix together ketchup, parmesan cheese, brown sugar, and balsamic vinegar.
- In a 9×5 inch loaf pan, press half of the beef mixture into the bottom of the pan.
- Spread the ketchup mixture over the beef mixture.
- Top with the remaining beef mixture and press down firmly.
- Bake for 1 hour or until the meatloaf is fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 160Β°F (71Β°C).
- Let the meatloaf cool for 5 minutes and then serve hot with your favorite sides.
