- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Orange Crush soda
- 1/2 cup whole milk
Frosting Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup Orange Crush soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Orange food coloring, optional

Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (180Β°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the Orange Crush soda and milk. Stir until just combined.
- Fill the cupcake liners 2/3 of the way full with the batter. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean.
- For the frosting: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the Orange Crush soda and vanilla extract. If desired, add a few drops of orange food coloring.
- Once the cupcakes have cooled, pipe the frosting onto each cupcake using a piping bag fitted with a large round tip.
