- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Whole wheat buns, toasted

- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the onion, red and green bell peppers, and garlic to the skillet and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato paste, ketchup, water, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, chili powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Toast the whole wheat buns in a toaster or under the broiler for a few minutes.
- Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto the toasted buns and serve hot.
